Rules and Regulations for free lifetime pass:
All paying passengers are eligible, and automatically enrolled in this contest upon receipt of payment for any all-day fishing trip.
Half and three quarter day trips are not eligible for this contest, however, customers that are part of private charters may be part of the contest if an entrance fee of one hundred dollars is paid in conjunction with the overall price of the trip.
If you are a charter head, and you and your friends and/or colleagues are interested in this, please ask Carolann, Booty, or Michael for more information over the phone, or at our ticket booth at the Cape Ann Marina.
This contest is subject to the same rules as the daily biggest fish pool aboard any of our all-day fishing trips. The official rules of the contest in regards to what fish are actually acceptable according to the parameters of the offer are as follows:
- The fish in question must be the required size limit in reference to state and federal regulations.
- It must also be on the list of species that have been deemed applicable for participation such as: cod, haddock, wolffish, cusk, pollock, monk fish, blue-fish, red-fish, etc.
- If a particular fish has not been mentioned on this list, be assured that the species in question has been encountered by the crew before, and that they are the on-board judges in charge of determining specific species eligibility.
The Captain and crew of the Lady Sea are the END ALL AND BE ALL when it comes to passing judgment on this or any other rule.
Any and all fish in the running for this contest must be caught aboard the Lady Sea, as well as handled by the crew when being weighed. A scale will be kept aboard the boat to take an initial weight, and then if it is deemed necessary by the crew, the fish in question will be kept well iced in the fish vat on the boat until the trip reaches the dock. At which time the fish will be removed from the vat by a member of the crew and brought directly to a larger and more accurate scale next to the ticket booth. Once the fish is caught, the preliminary weigh in conducted, and the fish is placed in the vat, it is not to be disturbed by anyone on the trip other than direct members of the crew. If at any time a member of the crew feels that this chain of custody, or any other aspect of the rules have been violated in any way, then it is mandatory that the fish be cleaned in some way that allows a closer inspection of the rack to ensure that no weight has been added to the fish maliciously. Any amendments to the rules will be posted on the website, as well as at the ticket booth, and any other place that Gloucester Fleet information is posted.
(as clarification, the term “biggest fish” pertains directly to the fishes weight, and not length or girth)
